Spicy Crunchy Mac and Cheese

This Flamin' Hot Cheetos Mac and Cheese recipe is perfect for those who love a little heat in their comfort food. Adding 2 teaspoons of F.U. Ingredients:

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups crushed Flamin' Hot Cheetos
  • 2 teaspoons F.U. Larry's Original Hot Sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions until it is al dente. Drain the macaroni and set it aside.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  4. Add the flour to the butter and whisk it together until it forms a thick paste.
  5. Gradually pour the milk into the saucepan, whisking constantly until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  6. Add the salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper to the saucepan and whisk until the spices are fully incorporated.
  7. Bring the mixture to a simmer and continue to whisk it for 5-7 minutes, until it has thickened.
  8. Add the shredded cheddar cheese to the saucepan and stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
  9. Stir in 2 teaspoons of F.U. Larry's Original Hot Sauce into the cheese sauce.
  10. Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until the macaroni is fully coated.
  11. Pour the mac and cheese mixture into a greased baking dish.
  12. Sprinkle the crushed Flamin' Hot Cheetos over the top of the mac and cheese.
  13. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the Cheetos are lightly browned and the mac and cheese is hot and bubbly.
  14. Remove from the oven and let the mac and cheese cool for a few minutes before serving.
  15. Drizzle additional F.U. Larry's on to taste
